Is Truck World: Australia Available on Xbox?

Truck World: Australia Xbox players can start hauling now: the Game Preview launched on November 5, 2026, for Xbox Series X|S. The $29.99 base game puts you behind the wheel in rural Australia, with hands-on work that takes you outside the cab. Before buying, separate the playable launch content from upcoming additions, especially drivable road trains.

Developed by Truck World Studio and published by HypeTrain Digital, the game supports single-player trucking and carries the Optimized for Xbox Series X|S designation. Its platform release schedule looks like this:

The Xbox version includes achievements, Xbox cloud saves, and Xbox Play Anywhere. That last feature lets you play your purchase across supported Xbox consoles and Windows PCs.

Xbox Price, Editions, and Cloud Requirements

There are two purchase options:

  • Game Preview — $29.99: The base game.
  • Founders Edition — $34.99: The base game plus Truck World: Australia - Paint Jobs Pack №1.

The paint pack is also available separately for $4.99. Choose the base edition if you only want the game; the Founders Edition adds the cosmetic pack. The game also offers in-app purchases.

You can buy Truck World: Australia for Xbox and PC.

For cloud play, you need both a game purchase and Xbox Game Pass Essential, Premium, or Ultimate. A qualifying subscription alone does not provide access to this game. Keep that distinction in mind if you plan to stream instead of installing it.

What You Can Play in the Launch Build

The initial Early Access map covers South Australia’s Eyre Peninsula, with nine towns connected by coastal highways and rural roads. Left-hand traffic is part of the driving experience.

Your starting content includes:

  • One player-owned truck with limited upgrades.
  • The first two base upgrades.
  • Two story missions.
  • Unlimited repeatable delivery contracts.
  • Full-trailer deliveries and individual cargo loads carried on your own flat-top trailer.

The handcrafted content takes approximately three hours to complete. Repeatable contracts provide dozens of additional hours of hauling, so finishing the initial missions does not exhaust the available delivery work.

The trucking extends beyond steering and braking. You can leave the cab to refuel manually, connect trailers, and handle trailer equipment. Cargo planning also matters: you can combine deliveries, accept extra orders, and pick up loads along your route.

Plan your route around compatible deliveries and pickups. Combining cargo on one trip lets you make more use of your trailer and earn more per run. Keep the current scale in mind, though: this build starts with one truck and a limited set of upgrades while development continues.

Are Road Trains Available?

Drivable road trains are not included in the initial Early Access release. They are planned for a future update.

Those multi-trailer combinations are a major part of the Australian trucking fantasy, but the launch build focuses on the Eyre Peninsula and its existing delivery contracts. If road trains are your main reason to buy, wait for the update that adds them.

Other development priorities include:

  • Two additional trucks already in development.
  • New roads from Port Augusta to Marla and along the Hawker - Marree - Marla route.
  • Additional cargo, trailers, and hands-on interactions.
  • More trucking-base upgrades.
  • Traffic violations and fines.

These are planned additions rather than launch features, and development priorities can change with player feedback.

Updates, Full Release, and Save Compatibility

Early Access is expected to last approximately one year, possibly longer. The full release depends on finishing planned features, improving technical quality, and incorporating feedback.

The intended update schedule is:

  • Hotfixes: When fixes are ready.
  • Smaller updates: Approximately monthly.
  • Major content updates: Approximately every three months.

Those intervals are development targets rather than fixed deadlines. Early Access purchases include subsequent updates and version 1.0 at no additional cost.

Save compatibility is a separate consideration. The development team aims to preserve progress, but major technical changes can require a new game. Xbox cloud saves are supported; they do not remove that potential need to restart after a major update.

Use the in-game feedback form to report bugs or suggest changes while the game is in active development.
