When Does Truck World: Australia Come Out?

The Truck World: Australia release date was November 5, 2026, for its Early Access launch on Xbox, Microsoft Store, and Epic Games Store. Steam players are scheduled to join in the first half of 2027. Your choice of platform determines when you can start hauling through South Australia.

Here’s how the launch schedule breaks down:

Microsoft Store on PCNovember 5, 2026Early Access
Epic Games Store on PCNovember 5, 2026Early Access
Steam on WindowsFirst half of 2027, plannedStaged release milestone

The November launch starts the game’s public development period. Version 1.0 comes later, with Early Access expected to last approximately one year, potentially longer.

Why Is the Steam Release Coming Later?

Truck World Studio is launching across platforms in stages so it can gather feedback, address bugs, and improve the game before opening it to Steam’s audience.

The team has fewer than ten people, making the workload of supporting a live release a significant consideration. The Steam launch is intended to arrive after the developers have gained more experience handling player feedback and technical problems.

This schedule is the studio’s own decision. There is no platform exclusivity agreement or payment behind the delayed Steam launch.

The target remains the first half of 2027, with continued playtests, development updates, and community feedback planned along the way. Wishlist Truck World: Australia on Steam if that’s where you want to build your trucking career.

Price, Editions, and Xbox Features

The base game launched at $29.99 in the United States. Xbox players also have a Founders Edition option:

What Can You Play at Launch?

Early Access begins on the Eyre Peninsula, with 9 towns, one player-owned truck, truck upgrades, and the first two base upgrades. The setting combines Australian left-hand traffic with coastal highways and dusty rural roads.

The work extends beyond steering. You can leave the cab to connect trailers, handle their equipment, and refuel manually.

Delivery contracts come in two forms:

  • Full-trailer deliveries.
  • Individual cargo loads carried on your own flat-top trailer.

Combine compatible deliveries and pick up additional cargo along your route to earn more from a trip. Plan those stops together before setting off so you can make use of the trailer’s capacity.

The first two story missions are playable. Handcrafted content takes approximately 3 hours to complete, while repeatable delivery contracts provide dozens of additional hours of hauling.

Road Trains and the Early Access Roadmap

Drivable road trains are planned for a future update. They are outside the initial Early Access build, so keep that in mind if pulling multiple trailers is your main reason to buy.

Other development priorities include two additional trucks, more cargo and trailers, expanded trailer interactions, further base upgrades, and traffic violations and fines. Planned map additions include roads from Port Augusta to Marla and along the Hawker–Marree–Marla route.

The intended update pace is:

  • Hotfixes when fixes are ready.
  • Smaller updates approximately once a month.
  • Major content updates approximately every three months.

Those intervals are development targets and can change. Major technical updates may also require a new save, although maintaining save compatibility is the goal.

An Early Access purchase includes subsequent updates and version 1.0 at no additional cost. The eventual full-release price remains undecided and may change with the game’s scope and content.
