What PC Hardware Do You Need?
Truck World: Australia system requirements start with 16 GB of RAM, a GeForce GTX 1060 or Radeon RX 580, and 30 GB of available storage. Check your processor and graphics memory before committing to those Outback hauls. Both hardware tiers share the same memory, graphics, and storage requirements, with the recommended configuration changing the CPU and DirectX version.
| Component | Minimum | Recommended |
|---|---|---|
| Operating system | Windows 7/8/10, 64-bit | Windows 7/8/10, 64-bit |
| Intel processor | Intel i3-4130, 3.4 GHz | Intel i7-8700, 3.2 GHz |
| AMD processor | AMD Ryzen 3 2200U, 3.4 GHz | AMD Ryzen 7 2700, 3.2 GHz |
| RAM | 16 GB | 16 GB |
| Graphics card | GeForce GTX 1060 / Radeon RX 580 | GeForce GTX 1060 / Radeon RX 580 |
| Graphics memory | 6 GB | 6 GB |
| DirectX | Version 11 | Version 12 |
| Available storage | 30 GB | 30 GB |
A 64-bit processor and operating system are required. Read the Intel and AMD entries as alternatives: your PC needs one suitable processor, along with the remaining components.
What Changes Between Minimum and Recommended?
The recommended configuration moves from an Intel i3-4130 to an Intel i7-8700, or from an AMD Ryzen 3 2200U to an AMD Ryzen 7 2700. DirectX also moves from version 11 to version 12.

Compare the full processor model rather than clock speed alone. The minimum Intel entry runs at 3.4 GHz, while the recommended Intel entry runs at 3.2 GHz; choosing hardware by the larger GHz number would miss that distinction.
For memory and graphics, compare these requirements separately:
- System RAM: Both tiers require 16 GB. A PC with 8 GB falls below that requirement.
- Graphics memory: Both tiers specify 6 GB alongside the GTX 1060 and RX 580. Check your card’s memory capacity as well as its model.
- Storage: Both tiers require 30 GB of available space. Compare that figure with your drive’s free space rather than its total capacity.
Having 16 GB of system RAM does not replace the separate graphics-memory requirement.
Windows Support and the Steam Release
Truck World: Australia targets Windows PC, with Windows 7, Windows 8, and Windows 10 named in the hardware requirements. Native macOS and Linux versions are not included in its platform support.

For your driving setup, the game supports steering wheels and gamepads. Its Steam features include partial controller support, DualShock Controller Support, and DualSense Controller Support. Driving also shares the experience with tasks outside the cab: you can leave the truck to refuel manually, hitch trailers, connect hoses, and raise the landing legs. Inside the cab, working buttons and switches form part of the interactive controls.
The Steam version also includes single-player play, Steam Achievements, Steam Workshop, Steam Cloud, and Stats. Custom Volume Controls and Stereo Sound are among its audio features. English has full audio support. Steam’s supported text languages include French, German, Simplified Chinese, Polish, Russian, Turkish, Portuguese - Brazil, Spanish - Latin America, Spanish - Spain, Japanese, and Korean, alongside English.
The game is in Early Access on the Truck World: Australia Epic Games Store page. Development is ongoing, and Early Access can bring unexpected issues or new gameplay elements.
The Steam release is planned for the first half of 2027. That staged rollout gives the team time to gather feedback and improve the game before its Steam debut. If you are preparing a PC specifically for that release, revisit the Truck World: Australia Steam page before purchasing hardware.
Truck World Studio laid out that release plan on November 5, 2026. The developer has fewer than ten people and chose to launch on other platforms before Steam to work with a smaller audience and gather feedback. The team plans to continue Steam playtests, development logs, and community updates during that process. It also stated that the delay involves neither platform payments nor an exclusivity agreement. Bug fixes and improvements are part of its preparation for the Steam launch.
