What Area Does the Map Cover?
The Truck World: Australia map puts you on South Australia’s Eyre Peninsula, with nine towns in the initial Early Access release. Knowing that starting area helps you plan deliveries and understand the scope of the game before taking a job. Coastal highways and dusty rural roads connect a trucking setting shaped by ports, farms, and local industries.
The Eyre Peninsula is the starting region for your trucking career. Its relatively quiet roads and distances between towns give you room to learn cargo handling and truck operation before the planned expansion into longer outback journeys.
Early Access launched on November 5, 2026, for Xbox, Microsoft Store, and Epic Games Store. The Steam release is scheduled for 2027. The launch build includes one player-owned truck, truck upgrades, and the first two base upgrades alongside the regional map.

Towns and Delivery Depots
Delivery-depot development covers these six named locations:

- Port Augusta
- Port Lincoln
- Lock
- Cummins
- Cowell
- Coffin Bay
These locations give you a sense of the region’s hauling network, while the launch map contains nine towns overall.
Depot layouts matter once you reach your destination. Some parking areas allow a straightforward drive into position; others require careful trailer maneuvering. Leave room to line up your trailer before committing to the parking approach. A delivery involves more than reaching the right town.
You also work outside the cab. Early Access includes manually refueling your truck, connecting trailers, and operating trailer equipment. Plan around the entire delivery task: driving to the destination, positioning the truck, and handling the equipment.
Keep left on the road. Left-hand traffic is part of the Australian setting, so pay attention when leaving a depot or returning to the highway after a stop.
Route Planning and Delivery Contracts
Navigation development includes a world map showing cities, roads, and delivery locations. Work on the navigation system also includes manual route creation and automatically generated routes to delivery destinations.

For hauling, the launch build offers two repeatable contract types:
- Full-trailer deliveries: Take contracts involving complete trailers.
- Individual cargo deliveries: Carry separate loads on your own flat-top trailer.
The cargo system lets you combine multiple deliveries and pick up additional orders along the way. Compare destinations before adding another load. Use that flexibility to organize a trip around several deliveries instead of choosing each order in isolation.
Account for the stops as well as the road between them. Extra cargo means more delivery work, and depot parking can demand careful maneuvering. Plan a run you can handle from pickup through unloading.
The initial handcrafted content takes approximately 3 hours, including the first two story missions. Repeatable delivery contracts remain available beyond that content, giving you more reasons to keep working the regional road network.
Planned Roads and Outback Expansion
The planned map expansion extends beyond the starting region along two named corridors:

- Port Augusta to Marla
- Hawker - Marree - Marla
These are future additions to the road network. The initial Early Access area remains the Eyre Peninsula.
Longer outback journeys are also tied to another planned feature: drivable road trains. Trucks hauling multiple trailers are scheduled for a future update and are absent from the initial Early Access release.
Build your current delivery plans around the launch region and its available contracts. The northern routes and road trains belong to the game’s expansion plans, with development priorities able to change during Early Access.
