How Many Trucks Can You Drive?
The Truck World: Australia truck list contains one player-owned truck in the initial Early Access release. The opening build includes the first two story missions and the first two base upgrades. Two additional trucks are in development, while drivable road trains are planned for a future update.
The November 5, 2026 release on Xbox, Microsoft Store, and Epic Games Store starts your trucking career on South Australia’s Eyre Peninsula. The current map includes nine towns, with delivery work built around your truck and the trailers you attach.
For now, the roster is straightforward:
- Available: One player-owned truck.
- In development: Two additional trucks.
- Coming later: Drivable road trains with multiple trailers.
Road trains are hauling configurations rather than additional truck models, so keep those separate when weighing the planned vehicle lineup.

What Can the Starting Truck Haul?
Your truck supports two delivery contract types: hauling a complete trailer or carrying individual cargo loads on your own flat-top trailer. Repeatable contracts let you keep working after the opening story content.

Trailer handling involves more than backing into position. You leave the cab to connect equipment, including air lines and the electrical supply, and raise the trailer legs before driving away.
With individual cargo, you can position and rotate loads on the trailer. The loading screen displays weight distribution, and you secure the cargo by tightening its straps.
Check the weight distribution before finishing a load. Arrange and rotate the cargo before securing it, especially when combining deliveries.
You can accept up to three jobs at once. Compare their destinations before loading, then group deliveries along a practical route. This gives the single-truck setup a useful planning layer: earning more from a run depends on how you combine cargo and destinations.
Truck Upgrades, Maintenance, and Driving Controls
The current build includes limited truck upgrades. The wider vehicle selection remains part of ongoing development.

Your existing truck also needs hands-on attention. Refueling involves leaving the cab, placing the nozzle, pumping diesel, returning the nozzle, and paying inside the service station. Maintenance includes oil and filter changes.
Driving options give you several ways to operate that truck:
- Manual transmission with clutch and splitter support.
- Automatic transmission.
- Adjustable mirrors and seating position.
- Engine braking, a retarder, and differential lock controls.
Adjust the seat and mirrors before a delivery. Set up your view before attempting trailer alignment or reversing into a drop-off area.
Steering wheel support includes Moza, Thrustmaster, Logitech, and Fanatec equipment. Choose the transmission setup that matches your controls before heading out with cargo.
The driver also gets tired during work. A roadside break restores only a small amount of energy, while sleeping at your base, truck stops, or motels restores it fully. The game runs through a 24-hour day-and-night cycle, and the sleep timer lets you choose when to get back on the road.
New Trucks, Road Trains, and the Steam Release
Two more trucks are already in development. Road trains are also planned, but the initial Early Access release allows single-trailer hauling. Early promotional footage featuring multiple trailers should not be your expectation for the launch build.

The broader development plans include additional trailers, cargo types, and trailer interactions. Those additions will expand the work available alongside the growing truck roster.
Map expansion is planned from Port Augusta to Marla and along the Hawker - Marree - Marla route. Further base development and a traffic violations and fines system are also in development.
Steam has a separate release timeline:
- Steam release: 2027.
- PC operating system: Windows.
The development schedule targets smaller updates approximately monthly and major content updates approximately every three months. Those are estimated update intervals, rather than release dates for particular trucks or road trains.
